About The Artwork

The work was carried out on a slate tablet 20x20x0.5cm with layers of iron, sand, and other materials. At the top, in the center there is a hole to hang on the wall as a painting. The work is inspired by the Asassn-15lh (called the Assassin supernova) located 3.8 billion light years from Earth in the constellation of the Indian, visible only in the southern hemisphere, is the brightest supernova ever discovered in the history of man, shines 570 billion times more than the Sun and 20 times more than the Milky Way. If we were to the distance of Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky, we would see it shine like the Sun: the explosion of the star that generated it is a cosmic cataclysm never recorded before.

‘ ... refined glazes, interweaving bright, chromatic colors and fascinating plats of light and shadow guarantee an immediate visual impact and feed an enveloping dimension with permeating poetic lyricism ... cultured, elegant pictorial formula ... that draws from the realism tradition of classical teachers, but moves into a different terrain, making its owen variations and modulation ... ‘ I have a background that comes from the scientific field, with a degree in physics. In the course of my work, in addition to dedicating myself to teaching, I have always kept my passion for art alive by making paintings and participating in exhibitions, galleries and art fairs. In my artistic practice I have always proceeded autonomously, without having any reference other than that which derives from experience in observing the real world. I prefer a pictorial formula that draws on the tradition of realism of the classical masters, but with personal modulations in the combination of shapes and colors. I uses shapes and colors of nature with essentiality to make perceivable both the intrinsic aspect of each one and the composition in the combination with others. My artistic inspiration comes from observation of the real world. I use a compositional scheme of images and representations recovered from reality and translate them in a personal way within the pictorial narrative. However, I do not disdain new experiences in the search for new ways to translate my sensations into artistic representations. At the beginning, and for several years, I used oil painting, but now, I use acrylic colors. The most common of my artworks are landscapes on large canvases, painted in a traditional way. Recently, I use mixed techniques, in addition to brushes, also pastels, collages, sponges to spread the color faster on large surfaces. Sometimes I also use an artificial intelligence application that allows me to create new digital works, after being trained the model by using only some of my works.
