About The Artwork

CONCEPT My fascination with the body, anatomy and physiology, is a recurring theme in my work. He deals with biology, sexuality, history, mythology, sports and medicine, but above all in the construction of discourses of power and control. Experimental Graphical Processes of Photoengraving and Emulsified Transfer. Aesthetic Treatment: Photoengraving: Color on Canvas and Paper. Color, ink, acrylic varnish, paint and wax on paper and wood, hand painted with fluide medium acrylic and ink. Mounted on canvas panel ORIGINAL PRINT - Limited Edition of 7 Crafted Prints Each print is mounted on white canvas prior to the mounting of a white front mount. This fine art print meets museum longevity requirements and is carefully hand crafted. Prior to dispatch the art work is hand signed and individually numbered. A certificate of authenticity is supplied. Emulsion: a fine dispersion of minute droplets of one liquid in another in which it is not soluble or miscible. "Liquid polymer emulsions are used for dust control and soil and imagen stabilization". An ink-based process used for subtle tweaks.

Giovanny Páez he has maintained his fascination with the human body and anatomy, which is a recurring theme in his work. He deals with biology, sexuality, history, mythology, sports and medicine, but especially in the construction of discourses about power and control. Giovanny has kept expanding his extraordinary world by developing new narratives and symbols and creating a unique body of work. In his work combines installations, sculptures, drawings and video performances. At first, he wanted to be an actor but then quickly turned to art. In 2002, Giovanni moved to Lexington, Kentucky invited as a visiting artist and teacher for three universities and later moved to New York, USA. In 2003 he moved to Europe where he still lives and works today. Giovanny has been awarded with prizes in his native Ecuador country and international awards (among others).
