"Crossland Puzzle" is a large canvas with bold imagery that suggests the depth and spatial perspective of landscape, while remaining wholly abstract. It contains a crossword puzzle - painted in encaustic - where some of the boxes are "escaping" the puzzle and floating up into the composition. This was a suggestion of thoughts transcending their content which happens with practice during meditation.
