This castle has been a royal residence and a military base involved in many historical conflicts in past centuries. The Edinburgh Castle is situated at the most western end of the Royal Mile in the Old Town of Edinburgh. Together with the 18th-century New Town, it's a World Heritage Site. © 2012

Robert Bink (b. Schijndel, NL 1975) is a Dutch printmaker specializing in etching. His passion and curiosity for drawing and painting was seeded at a young age. Nowadays, his inspiration comes from nature, historical constructions and scientific discoveries. Robert’s ideas are captured in an image consisting of shapes and lines. Both his intaglio and relief prints are mostly in black and white to maximize contrast effects and are in small editions. He has exhibited in the Netherlands and abroad. Next to his artistic activities, Robert works as a forensic scientist in The Hague.
