'High and Away' 90cm x 64.1cm (35.4 x 25.2 inch) , from limited edition of 5 plus 2AP - a part of the chapter "Gentle Giants" from the awarded "Tale of the BluePear' series (FAPA 2019 Professional - Bronze award, Donggang 2019 festival finalist) -see my collection for other images with giant animals -ND AWARDS - Gold medal, Professional -IPA 2019 awards - Honorable mention, professional -BIFA 2019 - Honorable mention, Professional collage "There is a small coastline village, distant and isolated and rarely visited by strangers. A village with strange residents where life is usually predictable and calm, some could even say quite boring. One day a visitor, while trying to get away from the storm, got lost and while in panic, and stressed out, his recognizable spots fell off and got scattered over the village, causing all sorts of problems for the scared villagers. It caused the traffic collapse and scared all the fish that the village depended on.  But the stranger didn't mean any harm. He was just frightened and didn't know what to do. He couldn't leave the village without his spots as he was afraid that it might look ridiculous. The village council had to find the solution quickly. After few days of debate, they decided to find his markings and to organize a reconstruction of pattern, so the tall stranger can get on his way and leave them be..." My works are complex photo collages based on my own photography. I have been collecting photographs for over a decade. It is a long process of combining carefully selected photography fragments and illustrated parts, which are then transferred to computer and digitally painted. "I am inspired by my surroundings and I see potential in various everyday things and relations, people, nature, architecture, even food. I see them sometimes as fragments of my work. Most of times they stay just that, fragments, and sometimes they become unified into a whole and therefore start to exist as a part of my sceneries. By using real life photographs and textures I give my work a feel of realism, although the themes are far from being realistic…" Giclée on Hahnemühle mould-made, museum quality, acid free paper, printed with white border. Comes with signed & numbered certificate of authenticity.
