About The Artwork

For me it's the eyes. They're intensely looking at me. Questioning...staring deep into my soul and wondering what i'm thinking. Every time I look at this piece i'm caught up in a conversation with them. Depending on how i'm feeling at that particular moment seems to inform the way I react with them. Are they leading me into a glade? Their own kind of Eden. Or is the forest actually a wallpaper design and these two are standing at the bottom of my bed. Almost dreamlike, sculpted from stone. Is it a threesome about to happen? Is Innocence on the left wondering why the f...k he's there...has he been talked into this menage a trois by Experience to the right? Experience certainly looks more self assured. There's nothing new to him here. But Innocence, he's still in full bloom, the butterflies seem much more at home wth him...even the little bird is off to claim some of his nectar. This piece is also available as a limited edition print.
