About The Artwork
Chinese ink, watercolor, acrylic, paper collage, and resin on paper on framed, cradled wood panel. Growing up surrounded by women born of the mindset to serve – not indulge, be humble – not bold, and to suppress – not express, Lisa gives the women in her paintings a voice and an outlet. Her expressive portraits refute the traditional portrayal of women being passive subjects to gaze upon, evident in their disinterested and at times defiant expressions. Chosen as the cover image for the October 2016 issue of international art publication, FreshPaint Magazine.

Lisa Krannichfeld is a multi-media figurative artist and muralist from Little Rock, AR. She received her BA from Colorado College and Master’s of Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She has exhibited work around the United States, parts of Europe, Australia, and Asia. Her work belongs to collections including the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, The Historic Arkansas Museum, Hot Springs National Park, The Bennett Collection, The Argenta Mural Project, and The Oz Collection. Her work has also received numerous juried art awards and has been published extensively worldwide.
