From a series of photographs of palm trees in exotic locations such as Mozambique and Indonesia. The photograph is transferred to a steel & photopolymer plate. The image is then printed onto Hahnemuhle German etching paper in the intaglio manner using a manual press and the finest French Charbonnell inks.

Johnny studied fine art at Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork, Ireland and Aki Academy of Art & Design, Netherlands. He received a Masters in Fine Art Printmaking at Camberwell College of Art London. He has travelled widely and draws from a vast source of imagery and ephemera. He makes work in a variety of different media. His work is in a number of important collections including that of the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin.
