About The Artwork
The neutral colours I used are to emphasize the important symbolism of a helmet - not just a show piece of colours and designs. The helmet symbolises more than the obvious, it is the crown for the King/Queen of the dirt and represents satisfaction from a long hard ride once it's finally off. A sturdy wooden frame, with medium tooth canvas. Oils beefed up with Liquin Impasto, applied primarily with a pallet knife and little brush work. Sealed with Winsor & Newton Liquin. No hanging hardware included, for the choice of the new adopting parent.
