About The Artwork

"Stairs" was photographed in Apice Vecchio, an abandoned town in southern Italy. Visit the historic center of Apice on a windy day is truly a ghostly experience. The silence is broken only by the slamming of windows. Inside the houses there are still thousands of treasures, not in terms of valuables but as record of the past: phone books, electric bills, school books and children’s toys. This Fine Art photograph is part of photo exhibition "#9cento" ("9hundred") www.mostra9cento.it This print has been designed according to the specifications of the Digigraphie® that guarantee quality and a long durability. It has been printed on Hahnemuhle Paper Photo Pearl 310 gr, with Epson Ultrachrome K3 HDR and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity. SHIPPED WITHOUT FRAME

I am a 37-years old Italian artist, born and raised in Naples. Since the childhood, art has been my first love. In high school, I learned drawing and painting techniques. Then, I graduated in “Information and communication technologies Engineering” at the University of Naples Federico II in 2007 but art never left me. So I decided to study as a photographer, first, attending a professional course and, then, training as self-taught. Since 2011 I have undertaken several trips to Europe and North America to get inspiration. In 2017, I presented my first photographic exhibition entitled #9cento (#9hundred). It represents a journey to places where the time has stood still for half a century. Currently, I am working on a new project that will be completed next year. I like looking for the simplicity, the harmony and the symmetry in things. Behind my lens I can capture the reality around me and bind it to the eternity, because all the moments are unique and every moment not photographed is lost.
