I am a self taught artist. My workshop is located in Viroflay at 3kms before the Château de Versailles coming from Paris. You can come and see me by making an appointment by email or phone My artistic approach is driven by the desire to identify the nature of curves particularly those of the female body in positions where the run-up, esthetics and the sweetness lead to emotions. Attracted by the curves, my hands glide over the ground to form bodies taking pleasure in this kneading and shaping the earth particularly flexible and firm at this early stage of the development of the work. I love that once the finished sculpture in bronze you enjoy the caress to feel this body sensuality as I experienced during modeling. I am a "young" sculptor who undertook a second life as an artist after a long career at a major bank in France. Very quickly, he makes a prayer to motherhood, perfection and femininity, taking the universal way of admiring glance. If it is part of the tradition, it also dares more contemporary touches, leaving all the latitude to the strength of the imagination and the power of the gesture. Lauranne Corneau, art critic and lecturer of major exhibitions in Paris, talks about how she felt in the artistic approach of Christian Candelier: “…."... Student in the spotlight models parading at the discretion of the working sessions, the artist leaves emerge quickly his favorite theme: the eternal feminine. His whole work seems to explore the delicacies of the female body, discussed in terms of curves, run-up, twists ... " “…It is also sometimes by exaggerating the qualities of the model, either real or photographed, he manage to decant the real. The artist stretches, subtracts, refines, stretches ... .. camber, backwards, balance work, pushes the material to its limits and seems to defy the laws of gravity ... .. These forms that seem so fragile finally reveal a force internal amazing ... " http://artsrtlettres.ning.com/profiles/blogs/entre-reve-et-feminite-l-uvre-de-christian-candelier?xg_source=activity
