About The Artwork

The blurry images of the cakes are like a myth of the source of this phrase “ Qu’ils Mangent de la Brioche, “ , in english “ Let them eat cake “. The phrase is widely attributed to her when she was reported about french nations’ poverty during the french revolution. The usual interpretation of the phrase is that Marie Antoinette understood little about the plight of the poor and cared even less. There are two problems with that interpretation : (1), there is no evidence of any kind that Marie Antoinette ever uttered those word or anything like them and (2), the phrase, in as much as it can be known to be associated with the French nobility, can be interpreted in other ways, such as, it could have either ironic or even a genuine attempt to offer cake to the poor as an alternative to the bread that they could not afford. At the end, her indulgence killed her. A shoe is both dreadful weapon element in fashion, the sharp heel poked through the queen’s neck, signified the punishment of be headed for the crime of treason. Marie Antoinette could no longer defend herself if she had said, “Let them eat cake” with her mouth sew with stitches. To me, Marie Antoinette simply was just unlucky to be perceived a bad image, foreigner and bad influence by the French people. A piece of heel is on the table, to some South American culture, it is an unlucky omen. Audrey Hepburn was painted on the shoe that the queen was wearing, ionizing the elegant stylish fashion on Marie Antoinette and a pairs of boots as fascinator on her hair, it’s just whimsical.

I realized I could not be a politician in parliament, so I am better off being an artist. I am dyslexic, so I have to self-taught. My arts are conceived based on my philosophy in human touch, in the genre of figurative expressionism. The subject matters are mostly infamous deaths or live homosapien who gave me near death experiences. Each portrait tells the stories, elaborates its Ups and Downs in life to express his/her moods with vivid colours and value of abstraction. Human beings give me headache, perhaps they are the root cause of my Bipolar disorder. The up side is, no one can say I am guilty when I am committing an art crime.
