This series is a deconstruction of a war traumas as well deconstruction of nobility of soldier posed photos and title is also referring to the game - in this series canvas is a battlefield between abstract forms and realism or traumatic connection to the war and all of it traumatic experiences. on purpose paintings are decorative - such as in a culture being women, often being valued by their appearance.

I am a young polish based in Iceland (since 2014) artists. In my artistic research i am trying to analyze and present anthropological, philosophical and social issues that i am at particular moment straggling or fascinated with. It is hard to put a label on my art. I prefer to be honest and curious. Art for me is searching/researching, asking questions rather than answering them. Whispering instead of screaming. My current research is dual. One patch is focused on emigration/ migration in Nordic Europe especially of young slavic and balkan people and it impact mostly into immigrants bodies their identity and perception of figure “home/heima”. Also I am researching my hometown in Poland where over 20 % people experienced different forms of emigration ( themselves or close relatives) with the same methodology. Other path is mostly focus on deconstructions - it can be a deconstruction of medium ( painting), psychological phenomenon such as memory, trauma etc. or body and gender.
