Sides painted black.
Wired and ready to hang.

We come into peoples lives as a learning experience. Either us to learn from them, or them from us. In times of grief I try and think of this idea and tell myself that I am learning something from this pain and unhappiness and that although it may not be apparent now, one day it will be.

At my wedding my sister-in-law gave a speech and in it she spoke about how I just appeared in their lives like I was always there. I just fit in like I had always been a part of their family. As my relationship and my marriage falls apart, I often wonder if I have faded away just as unnoticeably and comfortably as I appeared.

Artistic. Creative. Crafty. That's me! Art lives in every corner of my life and always has been such an integral part of who I am. There was a time when I thought I was going to be a vet, because I also love animals unconditionally, however, my math and science side of the brain are not strong so I stuck with my creative passion. I currently reside in Milton, Ontario, Canada. I have degrees in Graphic Design and Digital Media Technical Production both obtained at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto. I had previously worked in marketing agencies for 8 years until the birth of my daughter – Emi. At that time, I chose to stay home to raise her as well as continue to run my own design business and also work on building up my painting career. I started painting at the end of 2009 after seeing a local artist's work. His work had such a hold on my heart and inspired me to try painting because I wanted to create that feeling in others that his work had instilled in me. I had painted before in school, but actually hated it. Probably because we studied still life and realistic objects which don't hold me emotionally. I consider my style of painting to be abstract expressionism. I am an emotional painter. My paintings are the stories of my inner life and feelings and are composed of layers and glazes of acrylic paint revealing my inner most thoughts. I am a fairly private person when it comes to communicating what is on my mind – it is in my paintings that I tell all.
