Ambrotype on the clear glass. 8/10 inch. and a thickness of 0.08 inches. The shooting was done on a large format camera. The lighting consisted of a constant light of two sources of 2 kilowatts each. The lens was released in London in 1870, and the model was photographed, for 7 seconds sat motionless for the exposure to be successful. The glass plate is first covered with a solution of wet collodion, then immersed for 5 minutes in a solution of silver nitrate.after which the glass becomes light-sensitive and can be photographed on it. The glass plate is removed from the container with liquid silver only with red light. inserted into the cassette and then into the camera. Exposure is made by removing the lid from the lens. After this, the plate is developed by the developer based on iron sulfate. under red light and fixed in a solution of salts.

Yevhen Prykhodko, lives and works in Kyiv. photographer, works in the ambrotype technique, shoots on a large format 8/10 inch camera. clean glass is poured with salt collodion, then dipped in a silver bath, after which the 8/10 inch glass becomes light sensitive. the glass plate is loaded into the cassette and the image is taken, the exposure lasts 5-7 seconds. the result is a negative image on clear glass. if you paint over the reverse side of the flow with black paint, the image becomes positive. for sale scanned ambrotypes printed on photographic paper
