About The Artwork
I have been creating images of outer space since my daughter, an aerospace engineer, sent me a powerpoint of Hubble images. I've been amazed at how many brands of candy and gum have outer space type names. I used the wrappers from candy and gum to create a spiral, a common form in galaxies. I hope viewers laugh at this unexpected connection between science and food treats. This collage is made on a 2 inch deep cradled panel.
