About The Artwork
Inspired by a drawing which was inspired by the memory of my favourite childhood toy - a duck I called "Gina". The title "Re-gina" can have two meanings - one can be the reinterpretation of the Gina - give her a total different and noble aspect compared to the aspect of the initial toy, and the second would be translated from romanian as "queen". Both meanings are mixed in the concept of the artwork I've created. Used mixed media - aquaforte, drypoint and mezzotint.

My inspiration comes from my interest in the unseen area of life - the phylosophy of thoughts, feelings, ideas. In this way, i try to express through my art different emotions or thoughts by giving them a shape. Every single detail in each of my works has a meaning. I love art, i love to draw. It's actually more than a passion. I think it's a way of life. My art is expressed by drawings, illustrations, paintings. I enjoy doing illustrations especially for story books. As techniques i can say that i prefer pens [ballpointpens both black and coloured] but i also enjoy to work with watercolors and acrylics [especially on doing illustrations].
