About The Artwork
Polyptych. The work is inspired by a little puzzle, called 'loco'. Kids in the Netherlands used to play with these educational puzzles in school. You had to solve sums and each answer was on a piece of the puzzle that you then had to turn over and a pattern emerged if you had done it correctly. However, the pattern did not always come out right for me. Not putting the pieces of the puzzle together correctly, and the resulting shift in the image, is what this work really is about
