About The Artwork

This work is one of seven pieces reflecting my study on the chakras. It is part of the collection "which is the devil?". The study is based on the idea of evil and darkness which mankind has fabricated, and it shows the need for humanity to have darkness within, in order to achieve spiritual balance. The piece is titled after the first line of a poem, each line is the title of one of the pieces. The work is made as a transfer and painting on a sheet of dry paint. No canvas or other support is used in the creation of these images, only paint. It is approximately 20lbs of pure paint. This is a patent pending technique, exclusive for Paolo Iarussi. The work is designed to be subjected to braces on the wall, or suspended from the ceiling by small black chains (this may be substituted by other material, including fishing wire). If one chose the latter, the piece could be used as a division of spaces, showing both faces of the painting, front and back. Message me for more information.
