About The Artwork
This piece of wood carving was inspired by Chinese childhood toy “building blocks” and expressed my childhood memories. First, the face of this sculpture expresses the rebellion of childhood; greedy; pouting and naughty emotions. I hope to bring the viewer back to a happy moment in the past-The memories of children's happiness. In addition, the body part uses the gaps between the blocks to represent traditional Chinese characters and art. At the same time, it also hopes that the audience will truly enter China and understand Chinese culture.
