NEW original painting on stretched canvas that is 28w x 36h x .75" depth. This painting is ready to hang with wire as is or can be framed. This piece reminds me of a trip to Giverny, where Monet painted his most famous water lily works. It was a place that I immediately fell in love with and enjoyed painting plein air. I hope to go back someday to paint again with all the wisdom that I have gained and with someone I love. This piece is very romantic and subtle but also exciting! There are elegant brush strokes and a variety of calming layering effects. The sprinkling of gold accents are to bring in the warmth of the sun as it would glisten on the water. I've used blending techniques to create a play on thick and thin paint and varnish application to draw the viewer into a state of ease and wonderment. Also note this painting is signed on the back.
